Personal Accident Policy

Personal Accident Policy provides a lump sum amount to individuals or their beneficiaries in the event of accidents resulting in,
a. Bodily injury
b. Disability
c. Death.
Premiums vary based on risk category,
a. Category 1 – White collar jobs.
b. Category 2 – Blue collar jobs, Field executives, private drivers.
c. Category 3 – People exposed to hazardous conditions, JCB drivers, mine workers and seamen.

Coverage

Accidental Death Benefit

Provides a lump sum amount to the nominee in the event of the insured's death due to an accident.

Permanent Partial Disability (PPD)

Covers a percentage of the sum insured if the insured suffers a permanent partial disability, such as the loss of a limb or sight.

Permanent Total Disability (PTD)

Offers compensation if the insured sustains a permanent and total disability preventing them from engaging in any gainful occupation.

Temporary Total Disability (TTD)

Offers a weekly or monthly benefit if the insured is temporarily unable to work due to an accident.

Add-On

Medical Expenses Reimbursement - Covers medical expenses incurred due to accidental injuries, including hospitalization, surgery, and rehabilitation costs.

Education Benefit - Offers financial support for the education of the insured's dependent children in case of accidental death or permanent total disability.

Family Transportation Benefit - Covers the transportation expenses for the insured's family to visit them during hospitalization or treatment.

Modification of Residence or Vehicle - Covers the cost of modifying the insured's residence or vehicle to accommodate their disability.

The transportation expenses of the insured's mortal remains in case of death due to an accident.

Funeral Expenses - Covers funeral and burial expenses incurred due to the insured's accidental death.

Repayment of outstanding loan - Coverage for the repayment of outstanding loans in the event of the insured's accidental death or permanent total disability, ensuring that financial liabilities are settled without burdening the insured's family or dependents.

Exclusions

1. Injuries or disabilities arising from preexisting health conditions may be excluded.
2. Self-Inflicted Injuries.
3. Influence of Alcohol or Drugs.
4. Engaging in Hazardous Activities such as certain sports or adventure pursuits, may not be covered.
5. War or Terrorism.
